Walking in a world spun with ink

Calligraphy is a form created by spinning ink with a brush. Through the spun lines, things that had no shape are formed. I thought it was like creating the world. In this work, which was created in collaboration with calligrapher Souun Takeda, we depicted in VR how various lives are spun and born through calligraphy, just like the word "dynamism", which is the title of the exhibition.
At first, the inside of the VR is a pure white space with nothing but ink spheres floating. By touching the ink that appears one after another, the experiencer draws the five elements of Buddhism, "earth", "water", "fire", "wind", and "sky", creating a world. I do.

墨で紡がれた世界を歩く

書とは、墨を筆によって紡がれてゆくことで形が作られたものである。その紡がれた線によって、形が無かったものが形造られてゆく。それはまるで世界創造であると考えた。書道家の武田双雲さんとコラボした本作品では、展示会のタイトルである「躍動」という言葉の如く、書によってさまざまな生命が紡ぎ生まれていく様子をVRで描いた。
VR内は最初は何もない真っ白な空間で、墨の球が浮遊しているだけの状態になっている。体験者は次々に現れる墨に触れて行くことで、仏教の五大元素である「地」「水」「火」「風」「空」を描き、世界を創造して行くという体験を行う。
